About Data InformEd
I’m an education consultant based in Queenstown, New Zealand, with a background in teaching, school leadership, and wrangling messy data into something schools can actually use. For over 20 years, I’ve worked in and alongside kura across Aotearoa — from small rural schools to large urban networks — helping teams uncover the stories buried in their data and make more confident, informed decisions.
I’ve been lucky to work with some truly inspiring educators, leaders, and ākonga. Much of what I know about effective change comes from them — from the staffrooms where ideas are challenged, to the classrooms where impact becomes visible.
My work focuses on making student progress, wellbeing, and engagement easier to see, understand, and act on. I build tools and dashboards that reduce noise, spark insight, and support conversations that matter. Sometimes that means a smart spreadsheet. Sometimes it’s a custom-built app. Sometimes it’s just the right question asked at the right time.
Whatever the tool, I aim for practical, human-centred solutions — designed with the end user in mind, and grounded in the real-world complexity of schools.
